Overview

Christopher Love has been a life long pursuer of the truth. He has been regularly practicing yoga for thirty years. After studying philospophy at Conordia, Christopher traveled to India where he traveled and studied yoga and Buddhism. In addition to his yoga practices Christopher was profoundly influenced by indigenous wisdom through his native teacher Roy. He guided Christopher toward self realization, advising him to let go if his material attachments. Christopher spent 2 (2000-2001) years living unhoused in Toronto and Montreal focusing on prayer and meditation. This led to an inner awakening which is the foundation of 9 Elements Yoga.

9 Elements Yoga: Grounding, Stability, and Presence

Nine Elements yoga is the synthesis of his experiences of yoga through his personal practice and meditation. Blending Qi gong like movements, Hath yoga breathwork and meditation 9 Elements yoga is a complete well being practice for life.

The physical cultivation practices and nine elements yoga are designed to help us connect with and relate to the qualities and energies that the elements bring to us. We use movements of the body as well as visualization to enhance our connection with the elements themselves.

We utilize the metaphor of the elements as focal points of energy to cultivate a certain state of mind and a certain state of body. By consciously interacting with  the elements we connect to the fundamental principles that support life as We Know It

Shamanic Training: A Journey to True Awareness

What sets Chris apart is not just his commitment to the traditions of yoga, but also his deep spiritual journey into the realm of shamanic wisdom. After years of yoga study, Chris was guided into a transformative two-year apprenticeship under a Native Canadian medicine man. This intense period of spiritual training was no ordinary course—it was a continuous, 24/7 immersion in shamanic practices that forever altered his understanding of life, energy, and the human spirit.

During this powerful shamanic journey, Chris learned to see beyond the physical world and connect with the deeper layers of existence. This experience opened his heart and mind to new ways of being, helping him understand what it truly means to be a real human being, fully present, fully alive, and fully connected to the Earth and the energies around us. This deep spiritual wisdom now permeates his teachings, infusing each class with insights that go far beyond the physical practice.

When you step into one of Chris’s classes, you are stepping into a space where traditional yoga wisdom meets deep spiritual understanding. Whether you are new to yoga or have been practicing for years, Chris’s expert guidance will help you find balance, peace, and a deeper connection to your true self.
